Description
Handwritten family letter dated June 8, 1952, on Colonial Neon Company, Inc. letterhead, signed “Dad.” The letter appears to be addressed to Guccione’s children and offers an intimate early glimpse into his family life, artistic interests, and cultural world before his later prominence as founder of Penthouse.
The writer discusses the recipients’ possible trip to Spain, noting practical concerns about finances while encouraging the change in location. Much of the letter centers on art, including references to John Marin’s private collection, recent paintings, Paris sketches, and an internationally experienced artist connected to Rome, Madrid, and Paris. A studio visit is also being arranged through “Tino.”
